Hello, I am Katie Goodrich, Owner of Nalu Speech Therapy! I grew up in San Diego, Calif. I began my education in Speech Language Pathology and pursued my athletic career as a Division 1 athlete at Iona University in New Rochelle, New York. Upon undergraduate graduation, I decided shoveling snow was a lot of fun so I pursued my masters degree just up the coast in Fairfield, Connecticut. After six winters, I returned to San Diego to serve the city I always called home.

 

In San Diego, I began working in person and online for various public & private schools providing therapy for individuals from preschool through twelfth grade with varying severities and disorders. I met an overwhelming number of individuals with orofacial myofunctional needs that could not be supported by public schools. After over five years of treating clients at larger institutions, I knew I needed to shift to private therapy to better support my clients, which led me to open my very own private practice. I became trained in specialized techniques to treat Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders. My dream is to provide speech therapy in a space where you feel welcomed and motivated. Nalu Speech Therapy provides a different approach to private practice by eliminating corporate medicine and bringing you real individualized therapy to make real gains. 

 

Nalu Speech Therapy partners with clients and families in our clinic, clients homes, preschools, private schools and through teletherapy. 

 

When I am not not seeing clients or mentoring clinicians, I enjoy spending time with Daisy and Bella, my golden retrievers, watching sunsets and hanging out with friends and family.
